LAKE TAHOE TRIP

We took a trip to Dayton NV where my sister from Utah and her family met us. We stayed with our cousin Bridget and our friends Barry and Jeanni. The plan was to go boating at Lake Tahoe for 2 days, go biking, and just chill. Well, we just happened to go the week a cold front came through. Just our luck. We spent one day at Tahoe and I left my camara in the boat.So I can't share any beach pix. Luckily my kids still had a blast with their cousins and friends, they could care less about the weather! The next day it rained and rained and rained! NV is supposed to be a desert! So we went to Reno and spent the afternoon shopping at Sheels. The third day we thought we would try our luck at another lake-- you will see in the following pix how that day went!! We unloaded, gave two tube rides to the kids who were absolutely bound and determined to get a ride in, and then bagged it! It was 56 degrees that day, not including the wind chill factor! IN THE MIDDLE OF AUGUST! We did get in a really fun bike ride one day!
Barry, Jeanni, Bridget and Todd--- just want to say Thank you thank you thank you!! We love you guys! My family had tons of fun!

So you can't really tell, but the day we went to the lake was very windy!! The swells were HUGE! I was scared our boat was going to be engulfed by some of the swells as we made our way back to the loading dock! We spent the whole day on the beach. The kids fished for crawdads, kayaked, etc as the wind blew and blew and blew.....Not what I had pictured all summer long....:(
Zayne, Logan, Jacob, Tyler, and Lance! Cool dudes!!

This hill is a lot steeper than it looks! The kids love riding down super fast!

Kaden is my picture poser

Zayne feeling the rush of the wind as he cruises!
Jordan yelling at Kaden to get out of the way!!!!! Hee Hee-

Love the helmut Avery!
Go Megan!!
Uncle Rob taking Brooklynn and Hally for a ride! They loved the rolling hills he would take them on.

Jacob showing how to tough it out!

That totally sounds like our boating acivity with the YM/YW this august. We finally get all the boats lined up & the wind about killed us. I am not kidding! Crazy & frustrating! I understand completely! It's a good thing kids can have fun anytime, anywhere, no matter what the weather! Your kiddos are sure growing up! They are so cute1
