We love you Dawn!!

On Mother's Day weekend we had the opportunity to travel to UT and participate in the Race For the Cure with James family. Adam organized everything and also had these great shirts designed for the whole family to wear. We raced/ walked in memory of Dawn, James sister, who passed away two years ago that weekend. What a feeling to know there are many who share our emotions at the loss of our daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and friend. We really love and miss you Dawn! One of Dawn's favorite sayings.....fitting for our shirts that day.

Zayne love hanging with his cousins from UT Bryce and Tanner.

Cute picture of some of the girls- Ali on far left was baptized that same day. After the Race, we all raced again to make it to the church on time for Allison's special day! Way to go Ali!!

Little Cooper with his dad Adam- Tangi didn't make it because she was home with their brand new baby girl- she was born just two days earlier!

Rick, Karen, and Kelby! Climbing out of their car ready to roll! Good morning!!
Justin, Sara, McKelty, Atly, little bro, and brand new little bro Dax- what a sport! He was born just THREE days earlier! Very cute little guy.

Aunt Keri did a great job making sure not one little one was lost! :) Thanks Keri!!

Cooper- he just CHILLS ALL DAY LONG!!

It was a great weekend with the race, new babies, and Ali's baptism.

JUST ANOTHER DAY IN OUR PARADISE- WANNA VISIT?

So the other day Jordan is riding in the back yard...she comes running into the house screaming there is a snake in the grass! We live at the base of the Owyhee Mountains- we built on a little hill that borders the big desert- so we have had some snakes every now and then. I told her to keep her bros and sis back until I could get my shoes and check to see what kind of snake it was. I went outside and the dogs were barking and getting really close to it- the kids were crying/screaming at Vader to "Get BACK!" They were afraid it was a rattle snake! Of course the dogs weren't listening and the kids were so upset fearing the dog was going to die! It was total chaos outside! I took a closer look and found it was a huge bull snake- a "good snake" if there is such a thing. They like to eat mice etc. The kids tied the dog up and I grabbed a flower pot and threw it over the top of the snake until James could come and take care of it. :) After the dog was safely tied and they knew he wasn't going to be struck dead- the kids calmed a little bit. James came a short time later and using a stick and a shovel moved the snake down the hill, across the ditch and into the field. Which is great- because for a couple of years now I have told Kaden and Brooklynn that Trolls and Goblins live in the ditch and to stay FAR AWAY from the water! Terrible I know- but I will say anything to keep them away from those irrigation ditches. Now they know that snakes live down there- FOR REAL... so that should really keep them away! :)
Oh that is just too nasty!! James has really come a long way! A couple of years ago you would have never seen him handling a snake! So of course I grab the camara- Kaden is so funny! He is of course dressed up again! He looks like an alien from outer space! LOL!! Check the videos out below! CAUTION! IF YOU DON'T LIKE SNAKES--- DO NOT WATCH! IF YOU BRAVE IT, LISTEN CLOSE AND YOU WILL HEAR IT HISSING AND IN ONE VIDEO IT IS EVEN GROWLING AND STRIKING! ENJOY! Push pause on my music section so you can hear the video sound.
