Fall Break!! Yellowstone National Park-

Old Faithful!
So- during our kids fall break we thought it would be fun to take a road trip to Yellowstone! We planned on doing this several months ago..... and as our luck would have it......the week we had scheduled just happened to have an Arctic BLAST sweep down in from Canada!! ahhhh! If you remember, our Lake Tahoe vacation had the exact same weather luck! So in the middle Oct we spent 3 days in Yellowstone, snow, wind, ice, and temps in the teens and twenties, having the time of our life!

This is so funny! We drive all the way to Old Faithful telling our kids how cool it is. We get out and the wind is blowing, it is probably barely 20 degrees outside. We did get lucky and only had to wait ten minutes for it to blow- the problem was it was so blasted cold- that when the hot water shot out of the ground, all you could see was steam!! Listen to what Jordan and the kids were saying during this video shot! Typical family vacation!!
Beautiful waterfall just outside of Idaho Falls.... Brooklynn was on a roll making funny faces everytime we took a picture. She is really funny!

Fun highlight of the trip- we took the kids to Bear World. We did a Curator Tour where you ride on top of a feed truck and throw food down to the big Grizzly and Black bears! I bought the kids fling camaras so I don't have digital shots of the big bears from the Tour! The bears came right up to the truck and waved for scraps of food. The kids loved taking their own pix and getting them developed. They all took some really fun pictures.

Little fawn at Bear World- They had a fun petting zoo. Jordan loved it until a baby billy goat rammed her! Ha Ha

Photo op....been to the divide and back!!

Elk in Yellowstone right in the center of the shot.

Another highlight- giant ice cream cones at the Old Faithful Lodge. It is never tooooo cooooold for Ice Cream right?

Hiking through the snow to check out wildlife and hot pots in the park! Can you believe all the snow! What luck- it was really pretty though!! The kids didn't know any different, they had lots of fun.

Great big bison just off the side of the road!
